NVADG volunteers scrambled on a hot Friday afternoon to prepare for hundreds of dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats and ducks. All evacuating from the Wall Fire, which began Friday July 7.
Supporting NVADG's response were Butte County Animal Control, Butte County employees, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), Red Rover, California Conservation Corps, Northwest SPCA, Lake County Animal Control and other local and state agencies. Equally vital are the generous cash donations from our community.
NVADG is proud of the work we do to train our volunteers and maintain equipment to respond. We are equally proud of the support from our local community, local agencies and the animal rescue community who were ready, willing and able to join the efforts.
Thank you volunteers and community!
