NVADG activated Tuesday September 8 to assist Butte County Animal Control evacuate and shelter animals for the Bear Fire (now known as the North Complex West Zone fire).  Also assisting with mutual aid are scores of Animal Control Officers from Northern Californai, regional CARTs, and IFAW.

For temporary sheltering of small animals, we have room at our newly opened Cal Oak shelter, 521 Cal Oak Ave, Oroville (near the Walmart Super Center)
For temporary sheltering of large animals, we are at Camelot Equestrian Center, 1985 Clark Rd, Oroville.
For evacuation or feeding animals behind the evacuation roadblocks, NVADG is trained/equipped/authorized to go beyond roadblocks when it is fire-safe. Call our hotline between 7am and 8pm and make a service request:  530-895-0000.  (Note: our lines are opened if new evacuations are called after hours.)

COVID-19 safety protocols are being followed.
